Holy Thursday is the official statutory term for the Thursday of Holy Week in Peru, Chile, and Colombia. Historically inherited from Spanish administrative law, it is observed as a full public holiday to allow citizens to participate in the ancient 'Seven Churches Visitation' (Recorrido de las Siete Iglesias) which dates back to Rome in the 16th century.
