Ram Navami celebrates the birth of Lord Rama, the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu and the emblem of the ideal human (Maryada Purushottama), born to King Dasharatha and Queen Kausalya in Ayodhya. It falls on the ninth day of the Chaitra Navratri festival.
