The National Day of Indigenous Peoples (Día Nacional de los Pueblos Indígenas) in Chile, observed on the winter solstice (between June 21st and June 24th), was established in 2021. The date aligns with the New Year celebrations of Chile's original peoples, most notably the Mapuche holiday 'We Tripantu' and the Aymara holiday 'Willka Kuti', marking the renewal of nature and agricultural fertility.
