Midsummer Day (Midsommardagen) in Sweden, celebrated on the Saturday between June 20th and June 26th, is a cornerstone of Swedish culture. Historically rooted in ancient pagan summer solstice celebrations, the day marked a magical time of fertility, harvest predictions, and the triumph of light. In the Christian calendar, it was aligned with the feast of Saint John the Baptist, though the modern holiday remains largely secular.
