History & Origins of Pakistan Day
Pakistan Day (also known as the Republic Day Joint Services Parade) is celebrated on March 23rd. It commemorates the historic adoption of the Lahore Resolution on March 23, 1940 by the All-India Muslim League, which formally demanded the creation of a sovereign, independent state for Muslims of the subcontinent. It also marks the historic adoption of Pakistan's very first constitution on March 23, 1956, transforming the country into the world's first Islamic Republic.

The main celebration is a grand joint services military parade in Islamabad, showcasing military hardware, fighter jet aerobatic displays, and cultural floats representing all provinces.
