History & Origins of Reformation Day
Reformation Day, observed on October 31st, commemorates the day in 1517 when German monk Martin Luther famously nailed his Ninety-five Theses to the door of All Saints' Church in Wittenberg, sparking the Protestant Reformation. In Chile, this day was officially declared a public holiday in 2008 to honor the growing Protestant and Evangelical communities and their contributions to national history.
