History & Origins of All Souls' Day
All Souls' Day, celebrated on November 2nd, is dedicated to the commemoration of all the faithful departed, praying for the souls of those in purgatory. Historically established by Saint Odilo of Cluny in the 11th century, the day represents the Catholic belief in the communion of saints and the power of prayer to assist the deceased on their spiritual journey.
